Last year was a busy one. ​Funded by Arts Council England, the Polari Prize National Showcase began in October 2023 and continued until December 2024. There were 32 dates in total, spread all across the UK, from Bradford to Brighton, Edinburgh to Exeter, Hastings to Hull.

This year promises to be just as busy. On April 26, Paul Burston will be discussing the Polari Prize at New Writing South’s Publishing Industry Day.

Then on May 10, Polari will be at Huddersfield Literature Festival, with special guests Rosie Garland, Hook and Okechukwu Nzelu. ​See here for more details.
